The Professional Careers track within the Bridges to Careers program prepares individuals for high-demand roles in business, administration, customer service, and office support. Whether you’re starting your first job in an office or looking to level up your current skill set, this pathway offers the knowledge and credentials needed to succeed—and grow—in today’s professional work environments.

Participants build confidence in core business functions such as communication, organization, and technology while developing transferable skills that are valued across industries.

Training Areas & Career Focus

Bridges2Careers in Professional Careers is ideal for those interested in office administration, customer service, human resources, finance, or marketing. You’ll get hands-on support and career navigation from Workforce Development, Inc. and our network of Adult Basic Education centers and regional employers.

Northstar Digital Literacy Certificate

An industry-recognized credential validating computer and digital skills.

National Retail Federation Certificate in Customer Service

Training in professionalism, client engagement, and workplace etiquette.

Career Pathways for Administrative Office Professionals

Foundational knowledge for roles in clerical, administrative, and support positions.

Keyboarding & Office Software Applications

Typing proficiency and use of tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, and email platforms.

Math for the Office Professional

Practical math skills for everyday business and finance tasks.

Reading & Writing for College and Careers II

Academic preparation to succeed in postsecondary coursework (testing out is available).
