This course is designed to provide you with the technical skills needed to safely operate forklift equipment and utilize safe driving procedures. OSHA’s 1910.178, as well as other regulations and standards, states employees must be trained prior to operating powered, industrial trucks. Successful completion of this training will give you a certificate of completion and the driving skills to be a forklift operator. NOTE: To be certified as a forklift driver you need to be trained on the forklift you will be using on the worksite; this doesn’t usually happen until you are employed.

The Minnesota Retaining Employment and Talent After Injury/Illness Network (RETAIN) program’s primary goal is to provide early intervention strategies for workers to stay at work or return to work as soon as medically possible after an injury or illness, occurring on or off-the-job.

The Building Strong Communities program is an multi-trade apprenticeship preparatory program that will prepare you for a career in the construction industry. This program offers individuals the opportunity to receive Union endorsed training, exposure and a “foot in the door” to a career in the trades. Program graduates will have an opportunity to interview with participating Construction Trade Unions and Contractors.
