Founded in 2014, MaxAbility Taskforce is a volunteer collaboration of local professionals working to promote disability-inclusive workplace cultures. We offer practical support and guidance to help employers hire, retain, and empower individuals with disabilities. We also collaborate with local organizations to put on important events that raise awareness or provide adaptive opportunities, such as our annual Reverse Job Fair.
This subcommittee brings together key partners from throughout Southeast Minnesota to network, discuss, and brainstorm on ways to increase the Career Pathways programs available in our region through inter-agency coordination and best practice sharing. By merging efforts and funding streams for the benefits of program participants, this collaborative helps maximize the impact of these crucial development efforts.
The mission of the Employer Engagement Subcommittee is to support Southeast Minnesota’s workforce by collaborating with employers across sectors to address recruitment, onboarding, and retention challenges. Through sharing best practices, developing resources, and understanding workforce demographics, we aim to help employers attract and retain skilled talent, fostering a thriving labor force in our region. Our approach emphasizes listening to employers’ needs and co-creating solutions to ensure a responsive and effective strategy for workforce development.
